Calalta is nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa, in the municipality of Mussolente (VI). The estate boasts 5 hectares of vineyards situated at an altitude between 150 and 200 meters above sea level. These vineyards are surrounded by a unique environment featuring olive trees, meadows, woods, and a pond—a small oasis rich in biodiversity protected by the Grappa massif.
We cultivate grape varieties that are atypical for our region but well-suited to the soil and climate of Calalta: riesling, syrah, bronner, cabernet franc, tai rosso, and merlot.
We believe that the grape variety should not be the star, but rather a means to express the terroir and climatic conditions of each vintage. Since 2017, Calalta has been managed by Nicola Brunetti and his wife Giulia. The company is certified organic.
